Could T-Mobile be turning the corner, hopefully if their latest prepaid plans are anything to go by they could be on to a winner. So lucrative and profitable you wonder why a lot of the big carriers aren’t adopting the same attitude as T-Mobile who lets face it have not exactly had a great time of late which I wont go into here as its been said several time over and its kinda of worn out it meaning.
Nonetheless its interesting to note that T-Mobile is still managing to attract prepaid away for low-cost virtual operators and that’s no mean feat. T-Mobile have recently sign up deals with a couple of retailers to facilitate the sale of their phones.
One more day to go before T-Mobile HTC release the One S with ICS, Android 4.0 the much praised latest and most up to date system form Android, I mean Google no sorry Android yes Android not Google. Sorry about that it can be hard to get a grip on the cellphone culture when your constantly bamboozled by term like gingerbread and ice cream sandwich. Anways the 25th that’s when HTC roll out the One S and it comes with quite a lot of nice goodies that should be enhanced wirth the new operating system, the HTC Sense 4 should be a nice little add on.

The phone itself will be available for the modest sum of less than $200 ok $199 with a contract (two year I would imagine) and probably twice that off contract. The phone specs are what you would expect with a few nice little standout feature such as improved sound and a media link that lets you support TV as well.
Everybody is writing about htis so heres my take on it, T-Mobile ahvew developed a new app for their phones with lets says an unusal sound, care to gues what it is ? Screaming, yes your phone screams when its lost or mispalced. Ok not screams exactly rather a serious of loud sound including Sirens and other funky noises, this comes courtesy of Lookuot Mobile Security which can be located or found (get it?) on Google Play for Android phones only for the moment.

By all account this app ahs been very successfulf accrofding to people testiominies, it can be activated firom the web and it will conitune to emit a loud noise until its is found or I’m assuming the battery will run dry and the power gives out. All in all a handy bit of kit to have and is gathering momnetum as the number one app to have for your Android or tablet. No one like losing their phone we’ve all done it and its not a nice expeierence.
So what’s in the wind today well there’s a video doing the rounds that’s got a lot of people excited. The video short purports to show a HTC device unbranded with no embedded logo running a T-Mobile front end system on ICE 4.0. This has caught quite a few people on the hop as a lot of people thought this was still only rumours. The actually phone in the video is the HTC One S and though the clip is short it definitely show’s the device on the T-Mobile network.

The buzz around this is pretty exciting and the phone itself has the goods under the bonnet to back it up. Now the phone itself has the usual things you might expect a 1.4 GHz processor camera usual 8 Mega pixel plus 16Gb ram. But of course the main selling point is of course ICE the latest incarnation of the Android operating system plus the combination of HTC upgraded new UI Sense. Overall a nice little package that should help T-Mobile get pout of its “we don’t sell Iphone” sulk.
T-Mobile are really pushing for the Iphone as research has shown that they’re really suffering from not having Iphone. Being the only carrier left out in the cold when it comes to the Iphone has caused T-Mobile to wake up and smell the coffee and rumours have it that this is about to happen. So today it was announced that they plan tom do just that and try to woo Apple to let them sell the Iphone. A lot of customers have ditched T-Mobile to get their hands on the Iphone and some have even resorted to cracking the phone.

I use the term break and jail separately but you get the point. Now it remains to be seen if this actually does happen. But it is unfair that one carrier has to suffer, but then again its just shows you just how dominant the Iphone is and how it can make or break. One final thing to consider is that Apple does require a lot of concessions and fee’s for allowing its Iphone to be sold and this could be a factor but time will tell.

Don’t know if anybody noticed but I liked to ask the question did anybody watch the Grammy’s no? Well if you did might have noticed that T-Mobile advert to do with the new windows7 smartphone the Lumia 701 by Finnish phone maker Nokia. Unfortunately Nokia don’t exactly have a lot of visibility at the moment and its hoped by putting up high visibility adverts during popular live telecast events it might exposed Nokia to a bigger market.
In fact it has got so bad form a visibility point f view that most people have it in their head that Nokia had ceased producing handsets and no longer existed, this very bad form a business point of view. Nokia are hoping that this joint venture will be a kick in the teeth for the likes of android and apple iphone smartphones. It seems that alls fair in love and war and Microsoft are really pushing this along with T-Mobile. I don’t for one think it was a good idea to put the ad in the Grammy’s time slot might have been a better idea to wait for the Oscars but that’s just my opinion.
What I can say T-Mobile have upstaged everybody by launching it Valentines Days special offer. Almost all mobile cellphones for free only on the 11th Feb. Wow it doesn’t get much clearer than that. So if your in the market to give your partner a brand new phone this could be your chance to impress for that special one in your life or you could be a selfish bastard and keep it your self that’s done to you. So what’s on offer from T-Mobile well if you want to hook yourself up to a two year contract you could get yourself a nifty Springboard Tablet for nothing, yes absolutely nothing. This is genius in my opinion T-Mobile pulled of a crafty bit of PR spin saying that they want customers to have the joy and use of the 4G network to talk and communicate using there offer.

A word of warning there are conditions one of which is it doesn’t not apply to existing cellphone customers under 18 months of existing contract. Like any deal there is always a catch but if you are an existing customer and you are with T-Mobile under eighteen months you can opt to go on their cheaper rates. Lastly not to be outdone Verizon Wireless have said that this Friday they will be putting forward a data promotion so keep your ears out for this one. Who knows they might follow T-Mobile and start throwing cell phones at you, highly unlikely but you never know it might happened. Please check back soon for more news on Refurbished T-Mobile Phone.
Believe it or not T-Mobile actually sell Refurbished Cell Phones on their USA website. Some of the deals there are very good. I recently had a look and saw a few refurbished Blackberry cell phones there for a fraction of their suggested retail cost. For instance the BlackBerry® Curve™ 8520 is only $29.99, down from a retail price of $249.99. Now obviously not all this price cut is down to the fact that the cell phone is refurbished. T-Mobile say that only $20 is the discounted attributed to it being refurbished. Even so when you add up all the discounts and look at what this phone can do, it’s a pretty amazing offer.
The other Blackberry that caught my eye was the BlackBerry® Bold™ 9700. That is only 79.99 down from a whopping 449.99. With deals like this its pretty clear why refurbishing is a good idea. Plus its great to see phone companies like T-Mobile to the eco-friendly and environmentally sound idea of refurbishing cell phones.
